About Us
EGSP-Imbuto (Early Generation Seed Potato) is the company that started its operations inDecember 2020. It was created by potato seed multipliers, cooperative, private companies and farmers organizations supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Animal resources (MINAGRI) and Private Sector Federation (PSF) to ensure the stability of early generation seed potato in Rwanda.
EGSP-Imbuto exists to:
- Strengthen the multiplication and availability of adequate minitubers and pre-basic seed,
- Promote quality seed potato use,
- Promote high technology in multiplication of early generation seed,
- Strengthen the partnership with other stakeholders in seed potato value chain.

Our Vision
Mission of the company is to ensure the stable availability of minitubers and pre-basic seed all year around.
The company’s vision is to become a specialized seed producer by promoting high technology in multiplication of early generation seed potato.
